Well, I’m David Kit. I’ve accrued many different nicknames along the way and none of them seem very flattering so I’ll just leave it off this page!
I’m an avid table tennis fan, and a closet pianist (another way of saying a failed concert pianist). As things go at present I learn difficult passages one phrase at a time across many pieces (classical).
What I do for a living
I’m currently working in a mixed role (mainly technical) working cross functionally maintaining and updating out of date systems (in some cases looking to kill them off or developing replacements). Some very memorable projects include implementing sales management tools and finance tools to help come up with easier sales attribution. It was a proud moment when those systems keep standing after a decade, which is forever in the technology world we live in.
I also inherited a role being a property manager in 2025, which is a major struggle to try and get work-life balance, particularly when juggling full time work with a spouse, two children and a needy dog.
What I enjoy
I look forward to my nights when I have table tennis. I think of it as my sanctuary. I do play piano at home but there are certain household members *annoyed look* that don’t think highly of my music so I had to practice silently on most nights.
Whilst the world is considering quitting alcohol, I’m actually slowly clambering on board with my pale ales, whisk[e]y and cognacs, and slowly drifting away from red wines sadly there’s something really nasty about all the sulphates. Look, all I’m doing is helping the environment recycle, a bottle at a time, responsibly, alright? Alright.
